About

We came from the door, not the dashboard.

Slaney is a small Melbourne appointment-setting team. We built it around one idea: the agencies that sell to small business don't have a marketing problem, they have a nobody-is-making-the-calls problem.

Why Slaney exists

Most outbound dies at the phone.

Agencies selling to tradies, clinics and independent agents keep being sold the same thing: more content, more ads, a better funnel. Meanwhile their actual buyer is a sole trader who doesn't read newsletters, ignores cold email, and answers the phone because it might be a job.

Calling that market is unglamorous and most teams won't sustain it. That's the whole gap Slaney fills.

The founder

Harry Slaney

Slaney is run by Harry, who came up through field sales and door-to-door before leading a team doing it. That background is the reason the company works the way it does: when you've spent a year being told no on doorsteps, a cold call is a comfortable place to work.

It's also why the commercial model is what it is. Field sales pays on results. Charging a retainer to make calls that might not land never sat right, so Slaney doesn't.

How we work

Four commitments, and what they cost us.

Every one of these is easy to say. Here's what each actually means when it's inconvenient.

01

Pay on results

If nothing closes, we've worked for nothing. That's the point — it keeps us honest about whether your market is callable before we start.

02

We'll say no

If we don't think the phone will work for your offer, we'll tell you on the intro call rather than take the brief and find out slowly.

03

Real humans calling

No dialler bots, no AI voice. The people in your market can tell, and it costs you the relationship when they notice.

04

Your list stays yours

Everything we build for you — lists, scripts, objection notes — is yours to keep if we part ways.

Who we call

Markets where the owner picks up.

We're not tied to one industry. The common thread isn't the sector — it's that the person answering the phone is the person who can say yes.
